How to Make It

Follow these simple steps to create your Easy Cheesy Beef Nachos.

Sauté onions and garlic

In a pan over medium heat, drizzle a bit of oil and add the onions. Sauté for 30 seconds before adding garlic and continue cooking for another minute before adding ground beef.

Cook the beef

Break up any clumps and once it’s halfway cooked, add all the seasonings except for light soy sauce and sugar. Stir until well combined. Once the ground beef is cooked, season with light soy sauce and sugar and stir.

Drain excess grease (optional)

Bring off heat and push the ground beef to one side. Tilt the pan so the grease will collect to one side. Discard by transferring to a glass bowl or soak it up with a paper towel. Place the pan back over the heat.

Melt the cheese

Turn heat down to medium low and add the cheese. Cover with a lid and leave it for a few minutes or until all the cheese has melted. Remove lid and turn off heat.

Assemble the nachos

In a serving plate, place the tortilla chips. Gently "slide off" or add the cheesy ground beef from the pan on top of the tortilla chips. Garnish with pickled jalapeños and cilantro. Enjoy!

How to Store It

Fridge: Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Freezer: No, the chips become soggy.
Reheat: Microwave in 30-second intervals until warmed through.

Tips for Best Results

  • Shred cheese just before using to keep it fresh and easy to melt.
  • Drain excess grease to prevent sogginess in your nachos.
  • Use a mix of cheeses for extra flavor and creaminess.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve alongside a refreshing guacamole or salsa.
  • Pair with a cold beer or your favorite soda.
  • Perfect for watching a big game or movie marathon.
